Indiasets the new benchmark for Asia’s NGV events

New Delhi:Bangkok Exhibition Services (BES) Ltd., Allworld Exhibitions member, concluded NGV India 2009 with record results and overwhelming support from industry, firmly establishing India’s NGV platform for business.

The exhibition and conference, supported by GAIL (India) Ltd. and the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, showcased India’s breathtaking expansion into the NGV industry and provided a forum for the business and technical development of the industry within a global perspective. The conference, which attracted 510 delegates over the three day programme was titled “Sustainable Transport in a Prospering Marketplace”.

The NGV India 2009 exhibition welcomed the participation of 182 companies from 27 countries and a total of 5,162 professional attendees from 32 countries, in the majority from Korea, Thailand, Bangladesh, China and Iran. The exhibiting countries included Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Korea, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, the Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States of America.

Highlights at NGV India 2009 included TATA Motors’ display of their new launch CNG vehicles bus, minivan and light-duty truck and also Ashok Leyland’s one-litre-per-cylinder, six cylinder CNG engine for buses, as well as the latest high-tech conversion systems introduced by Landirenzo. According the audited survey 90.1% of visitors found the event useful or very useful to their business and 55.71% attended with the specific purpose of buying product. Interestingly, 88.3% reported a planned increase in investment over the next 18 months, with 11.6% maintaining the same level, 95.3% expected their business to expand over the same period. 94.2% of buyers confirmed they do plan to visit NGV India 2010 during October in Mumbai.

Over the past few years of developing NGV events in Asia we have managed to generate and create increased productive engagement among the various participants and we seek to continue this development through the launch of NGV India 2010 in Mumbai”.
